PSG could be excluded from the Champions League
PSG may be out of the Champions League because of the 55-million debt to Kylian Mbappe, which must repay by court order, writes L'Equipe. If by January 15 the club has not confirmed the transfer of the entire amount of money, sanctions are inevitable.
The start of the process on 20 December was given by Mbappe's lawyers, who filed a lawsuit in the highest appeal commission of the French Football Federation with a demand to impose sanctions on PSG. In addition, as the French edition notes, PSG may face sanctions from UEFA for violating the regulations on financial stability - it stipulates the mandatory absence of debts to employees (current or former) in strictly defined terms. For PSG such term expires exactly on January 15.
In case of detection of violations, the club may be excluded from European Cup tournaments or deprived of the opportunity to participate in the next seasons, says L'Equipe.
