Mohamed Salah Continues to Rewrite Premier League History
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has once again showcased his remarkable form in the current Premier League season. The Egyptian star has broken the record for most goal involvements in the first 19 matches of a campaign, tallying a total of 31 contributions (18 goals and 13 assists).
The previous record belonged to Luis Suárez, who registered 30 goal involvements (23 goals and 7 assists) during the 2013/14 season over the same number of matches.
Salah surpassed Suárez’s mark in Sunday’s fixture against Manchester United, where he converted a penalty and netted his 18th goal of the season. With half the campaign still to play, the Egyptian forward not only has the chance to further improve his own statistics but could also propel the Reds—who sit confidently atop the Premier League table—towards coveted silverware.
