Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior, the Real Madrid and Brazil winger, has confidently declared himself the world’s best player after winning the Globe Soccer Awards prize for Best Player of 2024.

In an emotional Instagram post, Vinicius reflected on his journey: "It’s not easy to get here. I’ve sacrificed so much in pursuit of my dream and my ultimate goal—to make my loved ones proud."

The award caps off a remarkable year for the Brazilian star, during which he won five titles with Real Madrid. "Winning such a prestigious award completes an incredible year for me," he continued. "This recognition from Globe Soccer shows I’m on the right track."

He expressed gratitude to his current and former teams, saying, "I want to thank Real Madrid, Flamengo, and the Brazil national team for allowing me to fulfill my dream of playing football. And, of course, I’m grateful to all my teammates."

Vinicius also highlighted his recent accolades, including being named FIFA The Best Men’s Player earlier this year. However, he narrowly missed out on the Ballon d’Or, which was awarded to Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
