Cole Palmer

Despite Chelsea’s disappointing 2-1 loss to Fulham, the match marked a historic moment for the club. Cole Palmer, with his solitary goal for the Blues, broke a longstanding club record set back in 2001.

The previous record of 25 Premier League goals in a calendar year was held by Dutch striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Palmer’s strike against Fulham was his 26th goal in 2024, making him Chelsea’s most prolific scorer in a single year. The goal itself was a moment of brilliance—Palmer received the ball, skipped past two defenders, and slotted it between the legs of a third to find the corner of the net.

2024-25 Premier League Standings

The record may not be final just yet. Chelsea have one more match to play in December, facing Ipswich on December 30. Palmer has the chance to extend his tally and further cement his place in the club’s history books.
