Fonseca: "Now Is Not the Best Time to Face Atalanta"
AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has shared his thoughts ahead of their Serie A clash with Atalanta, scheduled for tomorrow as part of the 15th round of fixtures in the Italian championship.
"Atalanta Are in Outstanding Form"
"I think now is not the best time to face Atalanta," Fonseca admitted. "But we are in a good position, improving, and the team is confident. We know how difficult it always is to play against Atalanta. They’ve won eight games in a row, scoring 26 goals and conceding only four. They are a very strong side, and we understand how tough this match will be, but we are ready."
Building Momentum
Fonseca emphasized the significance of the match but stopped short of calling it decisive. "It’s an important game, but not a decisive one. A victory over Atalanta would give us more confidence moving forward."
A Challenge for Milan’s Defense
The Portuguese manager also acknowledged Atalanta’s offensive prowess. "They are incredibly strong in attack. They create so much, and this will be a good test not only for our defensive line but for the whole team."
As Milan prepare for this crucial encounter, they sit in the Serie A table, aiming to narrow the gap to the top and continue their positive momentum.
