Liverpool continued their phenomenal streak in the Champions League. Arne Slot's team secured a fifth consecutive victory against crucial rival Real Madrid, to whom they have lost two Champions League finals in the last six years.
Liverpool's first win over Madrid in 15 years was achieved after Mac Allister and Gakpo goals in the second half. Reds still top the Champions League table, while Real's play-off spot now hangs in the air.
