Genoa misses out on victory in a match with Cagliari
Genoa hosted Cagliari in the 13th round match of the Serie A. The match was Patrick Viera's debut as Cagliari's head coach.
The visitors opened the scoring after eighth minutes when Razvan Marin converted a penalty. But four minutes later Morten Frandrup restored the balance.
After the break Fabio Miretti put Genoa ahead as Viera's side let the victory slip away at the end of the match - and again because of a penalty, which was converted by Roberto Piccoli.
The result was a draw - 2:2. The teams have 11 points each and are only two points away from the relegation zone.
