Official: Guardiola Extends His Contract with Man City Until 2027
Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has signed a new two-year contract, reports team's the official website.
The Catalan's new contract means that he will spend more than a decade as City coach - he took charge of the team in the summer of 2016.
Guardiola's time at City has been filled with successes - he has so far won 18 trophies with the club, including six Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League title. By winning the title last season, City became the first team in English football history to win four consecutive major league trophies.
"Manchester City means so much to me, - Guardiola commented on his new contract. - This is my ninth season here; we have experienced so many amazing times together. I have a really special feeling for this football club.
Thank you all for continuing to trust and support me. It has always been an honour, a pleasure and a privilege to be here. I have said this many times before, but I have everything a manager could ever wish for, and I appreciate that so much.
Hopefully now we can add more trophies to the ones we have already won. That will be my focus".
