San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, one of the most decorated coaches in NBA history, has reportedly suffered a minor stroke. The 75-year-old coach initially took a leave of absence in early November, with the Spurs citing the need for rest. However, new details have emerged revealing that Popovich experienced a minor stroke on November 3 and was subsequently hospitalized.

The timeline for Popovich’s return to the bench remains uncertain, leaving the Spurs without their legendary leader during this critical period of the season.

Popovich, affectionately known as "Pop" in the basketball world, is the most accomplished active coach in the NBA. He boasts five championship rings and has been named NBA Coach of the Year three times. In March 2022, he set the all-time record for most wins by a head coach in NBA history, surpassing 1,336 victories.

Popovich has led the San Antonio Spurs since 1996, crafting a legacy that spans nearly three decades. Among his many innovations, he popularized the "Hack-a-Shaq" strategy, a tactic designed to neutralize dominant players like Shaquille O’Neal during the early 2000s.
