Lamine Yamal

At the annual Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris, Lamine Yamal took center stage by winning the coveted Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best young footballer under 21. The Barcelona sensation has had a remarkable year, dazzling fans with his standout performances for both club and country.

Yamal’s impact was especially evident at Euro 2024, where his contributions helped lead Spain to the title. Along the way, the young forward set several records, underscoring his status as one of football’s brightest prospects.

In claiming the Kopa Trophy, Yamal edged out Real Madrid’s Arda Güler and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, both of whom had impressive seasons themselves.

Yamal becomes the third Barcelona player to take home the Kopa Trophy, joining previous winners Pedri (2021) and Gavi (2022).
