This was West Ham’s second heavy defeat of the season

Tottenham notched their 27th Premier League win over West Ham, a record only bettered by their victories against Everton and Manchester City. Despite this, the game didn’t start well for Spurs, as Mohammed Kudus put the Hammers ahead in the 18th minute, finishing off a pass from Jarrod Bowen. The momentum could have swung in West Ham's favor if they had held their lead until halftime, but Dejan Kulusevski's equalizer, which bounced off both posts before crossing the line, changed the game.

Premier League 2024/2025: Results & Standings

The match was effectively decided between the 52nd and 60th minutes, when Spurs netted three times in quick succession, leaving West Ham with no room for recovery. Ange Postecoglou's team were in control, and West Ham's problems deepened when Kudus was sent off following a heated confrontation with the Tottenham players.

This was West Ham’s second heavy defeat of the season, and they now prepare to face Manchester United in their next fixture. Meanwhile, Tottenham move closer to the top of the Premier League standings as they continue their impressive run.
