The match saw tensions boil over, with red cards issued to Nottingham midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and both managers. The English Football Association took swift action, with Nuno receiving the most severe punishment for inappropriate behavior and verbal abuse of the fourth official.
In addition to his three-match suspension, Nuno has been fined £55,000. Gibbs-White, who will miss one match, has been fined £20,000, while Brighton’s Marcel Hürzeler escaped a ban but received an £8,000 fine.
The incident has further intensified the focus on discipline in the Premier League, as Nottingham Forest prepares to face key fixtures without their manager on the touchline.
