USA Uruguay

The Copa America taking place in the USA never ceases to amaze with surprises. The biggest of them happened tonight: the hosts did not qualify for the playoffs.

The Americans have themselves to blame - they painted themselves into a corner with the defeat from Panama. This forced them to play Uruguay only to win and the task turned out to be impossible. The Uruguayan defense did not make any mistakes, and although the team did not create many chances, they did use one - Oliveira scored a goal in the 66th minute.

The match ended with a 0:1 score. As a result, the US team finished third in the group and leaves the competition. Uruguay will play in the 1/8 finals with Brazil or Colombia.
