Russell earned his second career win

Mercedes driver George Russell claimed his second career victory by finishing first at the Austrian Grand Prix after a collision between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen.

It was Norris and Verstappen who fought for victory throughout most of the race, however at the end of the both made mistakes in the fight for the leadership and punctured each other's tires, which led to Russell coming out on top. George did not miss his chance, calmly reaching the checkered flag and getting the first victory of the season for Mercedes.

Note that Mclaren driver Oscar Piastri was second in the race, and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz finished third.
