While the Euro is going in Europe, the Copa America group tournament continues overseas. In Group B the opening victories were achieved by Mexico and Venezuela.

The Mexicans got three points thanks to a defender Gerardo Arteaga, while ten-men Ecuador managed to open the scoring against Venezuela, however he couldn’t stop the opponents in the second half - Cadiz and Bello got Venezuela a 2:1 victory.
