UPL: Yuriy Vernydub named coach of the year

Vernidub is the best coach of the year

The All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches named the best UPL coach of the year.

The award went to Yuriy Vernydub, the head coach of Kryvbas. Among his achievements are:
- Kryvbas is the winter champion, meaning it is in the first place during the winter break in the UPL
- Kryvbas is fourth in the 2023 table with 57 points - no UPL coach has scored more points in the calendar year
- during the season Vernydub was recognized as the best coach in four UPL rounds

It is worth noting, that in the voting Vernydub finished ahead of the head coach of Polissya Yury Kalytventsev, the ex-coach of Shakhtar Igor Jovicevic, and Yury Maksymov, who is currently the head of Dnipro-1.
