Former Raków head coach Marek Papszun is a potential candidate for a job in Shakhtar Donetsk, reports journalist Piotr Słonka.

Last season Papszun helped Raków win the national championship title. In July 2021 Shakhtar had a training match with polish side and lost with a score of 1:2.

“I remember the reaction after that game,” writes Piotr Słonka. “I know people from Shakhtar and I remember that they were surprised by Raków’s bold play. The pressing was especially impressive. Even then, some important people in Shakhtar were interested in Papszun.

In Ukraine two names are currently being mentioned on the list of possible Shakhtar coaches: Igor Tudor and Ruslan Rotan. I have signals that Marek Papshun will become the third candidate."
