Shakhtar again lacked stamina for the entire UPL match. This is already becoming a trademark of Patrick van Leeuwen's team - after an hour of play the Miners run out of steam and suffer until the final whistle.

In the first half despite Oleksandriya's high pressure, Shakhtar played calmly and freely, quickly moving from defense to attack, and scored two similar goals. In both cases, Giorgi Gocholeishvili sent a cross to the penalty area from the right - and his partners (Daniil Sikan and Lassina Traore) completed the attack with headers.

However the Donetsk team failed the second half, as Olexandria scored a goal and was close to making it 2-2, but Dmytro Riznyk saved Shakhtar twice after point-blank shots.
