On Thursday, July 27, 2023, the Ukrainian football season 2023/24 starts with two matches of the First League (2nd tier of Ukrainian football).

In the first subgroup Mariupol will take Victoria from Mykolaivka, in the second - Bukovyna Ternopil will play against Niva. The next day there will be 4 more matches and 4 more on Saturday.

This season of the First League consists of 20 teams, which, in order not to overload the calendar, were divided into two subgroups of 10 teams according to the territorial principle. They will hold a two-round tournament, after which five teams from each group will make up the top 10 and fight for promotion to the Premier League, the rest will fight for survival.
