The appointment of the Dutchman Patrick van Leeuwen as the head coach of Shakhtar is drawing close, TaToTake claims, citing its sources. The president of the Donetsk club, Rinat Akhmetov, who had previously considered several options, eventually leaned towards van Leeuwen.

The signing of the contract, according to TaToTake, is expected in early July. For now, the 53-year-old coach is still on vacation after a successful season at Zorya. This work of his was recognized by experts who named van Leeuwen as the best UPL coach in the 2022/23 season.
