19-year-old central midfielder Denil Castillo moved from LDU Quito (Ecuador) to Shakhtar. The contract with the player will take effect from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2028.

Denil Castillo is a graduate of Ecuadorian LDU Quito. He played for the youth and reserve teams of this club from the age of 16. Denil made 15 apps for LDU Quito (U20) in the championship and the Copa Libertadores (U20) during the 2022 season.

Castillo is an Ecuador U20 player. He made his debut for the team in June 8, 2022 and has currently played 17 matches. He was a fundamental player in the South American Youth Championship (U20) held in 2023.
