Grealish: England is playing with full confidence at the moment

Added at:

Jack Grealish spoke to FIFA.com about England performance at the 2022 World Cup.

How much are you looking forward to the match against France?
It's one we're all looking forward to and will prepare well for. Obviously, everyone's going to want to be involved in it, I'm sure. But like I said, we're playing with full confidence at the moment, but we have to remember they're the champions of the world and it's going to be a difficult game, they've got superstars all over the pitch.

How do you keep your feet on the ground?
It's quite easy really. Obviously, I'm here living my dream coming away with my country. Representing my country at a World Cup is something I'd probably never have dreamt of. But I'm loving every minute of it. Loving the training, you know just… Even when you go back to the hotel at night you never take anything for granted because you're at a World Cup representing your country. I'm just trying to breathe it all in really and enjoy it as much as possible because that's what I think you've got to do.

Just a few games from history now. Is there any ceiling on the expectations of what this squad can achieve?
No, we're just taking every game as it comes. I think you all know how talented this squad is. You mentioned Jude [Bellingham], the likes of Phil [Foden], Bukayo [Saka], obviously, Harry Kane up front. We have such a talented squad, honestly, in every position. You know, I think we do deserve a bit of credit. Like I said, we've got three clean sheets on the bounce now and top scorers in the tournament.

We're just taking each game as it comes. I don't think you can do anything else in knock-out football. We'll obviously just be looking forward to the game on Saturday now and hopefully we can go into it full of confidence and get the win.
