The President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko commented on the liberation of Kherson from Russian invaders:

- I congratulate Kherson, all Kherson residents, including members of our UAF team, on their liberation from Russian invaders! I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine! It is hard to even imagine what the inhabitants of the city had to endure during the 8 months of occupation... but Ukraine always wins with the courage of our soldiers and the faith of the entire Ukrainian people!

At the UAF we are preparing for the return of football teams from Kherson and the region to competitions among men's, women's and youth teams. The same way we are preparing for the revival of the whole Ukrainian football! We continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and believe in the liberation of all temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine! With Donetsk, Luhansk, Mariupol and Crimea! Glory to the heroes! Glory to the Ukranian Army! Glory to Ukraine!
