Shakhtar Donetsk became the first Ukrainian team that managed to get into the playoffs of the European competition this season. In a UCL game against Celtic Ukrainian side conceded first after a first half strike from Giakoumakis, but managed to recover after the break thanks to another wonderful goal by Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Before the last round of the group stage Jovicevic team did not lose their chances to continue playing in the Champions League, but for this to happen they need to beat RB Leipzig in Warsaw next a week. In the worst case scenario, Shakhtar will remain in third place, which will give them the right to play in the playoffs of the Europa League.
