The captain of the national team of Ukraine, Andriy Yarmolenko, shared his expectations from the League of Nations away match against Scotland.

"We have some tough games ahead of us with long trips to Scotland and Armenia, but I'm positive as always. I know our players, I know our potential and I know what kind of football we can play. We respect all opponents, but we are not afraid of anyone. We know who we are playing for.

Of course, I cannot say anything about the future results, but I want to promise our fans that we will give all our strength so that they will not be ashamed of us. And we will see what the result will be. But I know that if you give all your strength, the result will come later.

The recent meeting with Scotland, in my opinion, is already history. Now we have a different tournament, so we are preparing for it like for any other match. When all the guys finally get together, I'm sure we'll analyze the opponent's game, and the head coach will give instructions on how we can win.

Our situation is somewhat complicated — we lost Zinchenko, Shaparenko, Bushchan. Of course, these guys are very important for the national team, but no one is safe from injuries in football. We all wish them a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them. However, we'll have to play without them for now. We will consider this a chance for other players to show the coaching staff what they are capable of".
