The 2004 Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Alina Kabaeva is included in the sanctions list of Australia. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
Kabaeva is included in a list of 16 individuals subject to asset freeze restrictions and a travel ban to Australia.
Kabaeva is a two-time absolute world champion in rhythmic gymnastics, five times she won the all-around at the European Championships, and also won the gold of the Olympics. The athlete was a State Duma deputy of the fifth and sixth convocations. Western media consider her close to Putin.
