A posible date for the start of a new Ukranian football season was announced by journalist Ihor Tsyganyk.

“I am sure that the championship will start in Ukraine, - Tsyganyk said. - The possibe date is the 20th of August. If our national team goes to the World Cup, then the entire autumn part of the championship should fit in three months, even two and a half. That is why everyone is waiting for Ukraine's match against Wales. If we, God forbid, do not get to the World Cup, all of our players will remain in Ukraine.

Despite the fact that FIFA and UEFA require that all football competitions should stop for the period of the World Cup, a certain exception can be made for us as we do not have many foreign players who will go to the 2022 World Cup. The main option is to finish the autumn part of the championship from August 20 to the end of October. And in March we will see what the situation will be in Ukraine”.
