PFA Player of the Year 2024/25: Final Voting Opens with Liverpool Stars Leading the Race
Final voting for the PFA Premier League Player of the Year is officially underway — and it's Liverpool dominating the shortlist as the newly crowned champions of England make a strong case for individual glory.
Three Liverpool FC stars have been nominated: midfield engine Ryan Gravenberch, club talisman Mohamed Salah, and defensive rock Virgil van Dijk. Their consistency and impact throughout the 2024/25 campaign have propelled the Reds to the top of English football — and now into the spotlight for personal accolades.
The final eight-man shortlist also includes a surprise double nomination from Nottingham Forest, with both Morgan Gibbs-White and striker Chris Wood earning well-deserved recognition. Newcastle United's Swedish forward Alexander Isak, Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, and Arsenal midfield general Declan Rice complete the elite group of nominees.
The winner will be determined by fan voting, putting the power directly in the hands of supporters across the globe. Voting is expected to remain open through the end of May.
Mohamed Salah is already a frontrunner, having secured an overwhelming 90% of the vote from the Football Writers’ Association earlier this month, earning the title of FWA Footballer of the Year.
