Negotiations with the player have been ongoing since the summer

Everton are looking to tie down Ukrainian international Vitalii Mykolenko to a new long-term contract as the club faces a pivotal summer of squad restructuring.

With as many as seven player contracts set to expire at the end of the season — including two key starters in Mykolenko and James Garner — the Merseyside club is prioritising talks with the duo in hopes of securing their futures at Goodison Park.

According to Everton News, negotiations with Mykolenko have been ongoing since the summer, but so far, no agreement has been reached. Sources close to the club suggest discussions are continuing behind the scenes, with both parties eager but yet to finalise terms.

The 26-year-old left-back joined Everton from Dynamo Kyiv in 2022 and has since made 111 appearances for the Toffees, contributing 4 goals and establishing himself as a consistent figure in the starting XI.
