Carlo Ancelotti shuts down Brazil rumours

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed fresh speculation linking him with the vacant Brazil national team job, insisting there has been no contact with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

After the recent sacking of Dorival Júnior, rumours began circulating once again that the Italian might be tempted to take over the five-time world champions ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Ancelotti made his stance crystal clear.

“No,” said the 64-year-old when asked whether he had held any talks with the CBF this week.

He went on to reaffirm his commitment to Real Madrid, stating: “I’m not leaving Madrid. I’ve had no talks with Brazil.”

Focused on Los Blancos

Despite ongoing interest from national teams — Brazil included — Ancelotti remains focused on guiding Los Blancos through the business end of the season. With a potential La Liga title and another deep run in the UEFA Champions League on the line, the veteran tactician isn’t entertaining any distractions.

This isn’t the first time Ancelotti’s name has been linked to the Selecão, but once again, he’s made it clear: his heart – and contract – remain firmly in the Spanish capital.
