Andriy Lunin is a nominee for the FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year award

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Ukrainian Andriy Lunin is a nominee for the FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year award. The list with his name was posted on the official website of the organisation.

Other contenders for the prize include David Raya (Arsenal, Spain), Ederson (Manchester City, Brazil), Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa, Argentina), Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG, Italy), Mike Menyon (Milan, France) and Unai Simon (Athletic, Spain).

FIFA will present its prizes to the best for the ninth time. Previous recipients include Lunin's Real Madrid team-mate Thibaut Courtois (won in 2018). This year, for the first time, fans can take part in the voting, which will run until 10 December. In addition to fans, national team captains and coaches, as well as media representatives, will vote for the winners.
